As we all know there are many Railway apps which are made for different services where users can download each app separately and use, so to provide better customer experience Suresh Prabhu launched a single window Interface – Rail Saarthi in July 2017.

Rail SAARTHI (Synergised Advanced Application Rail Travel Help and Information) is basically an integrated app which provide a convenient way for ticket booking,  inquiry, on board cleaning and even ordering meal on a single platform and also focused on Women safety. It provides complete detail from planning of journey to giving their feedback after completion of journey. You can directly download the app from Google Play Store. The app will be downloaded and installed in your android phone.

 

Mobile App by IRCTC that now we can see within Rail SAARTHI are :-
  • IRCTC Rail Connect – For e-Ticket Booking.
  • IRCTC Air – For Air – Tickets Booking.
  • IRCTC Tourism – For Tourism/ Packages Booking.
  • IRCTC Food – On- Track – For Meal Booking for Rail Passengers.

Railway Mobile App

Main menu consists of –
  • Ticketing – Reserved presently on the App ‘IRCTC Rail Connect’ and Unreserved presently on the App ‘utsonmobile’
  • Enquiry – Seat availability, PNR enquiry, Fare enquiry, Train Running Status etc
  • Affiliated services – for food order we have ‘IRCTC Food- on-Track’, and track the running time of train on the basis of NTES, and book tour travels through ‘IRCTC Tourism’
  • Cleaning on demand and link to 138,182 – ‘Coach Mitra’
  • Feedback – COMS

 

Ticketing

This section consists of –

  • Reserved Ticketing: For reserved passenger segment,we have  ‘IRCTC Rail Connect’, which provide one step login facility to all the existing users.
  • Unreserved Ticketing: An App “utsonmobile” exists in the suburban sections of IR and non-suburban sections of NR for booking of paperless unreserved ticket – both journey and season tickets and are device compatible.

 

Enquiry

This section consists of –

 

  • Seat Availability: Availability of seat/berth and scheduling his/her journey in a convenient way through a web link.
  • Fare Enquiry:  Check fares for his/her journey based on train, source, destination, class, concession through a web link.
  • Train Running (NTES): Get information about train running on nearly real time basis.
  • PNR Enquiry: Check his/her booking status (Confirm/RAC/WL) using the PNR printed on the ticket through a web link.

  • Air Ticket Booking: Book air tickets through ‘IRCTC AIR’ App.
  • Food on Track: Order food at his/her seat through ‘IRCTC CATERING’ App.
  • Tour Booking: Book tickets for a tour through ‘IRCTC TOURISM’ App.
  • Book Retiring Room: Book Retiring Rooms at any stage of time for staying.

 

 

Feedback

Railway Mobile App - Rail SAARTHI

This section consists of –

  •  Complaint/Suggestions (COMS): The COMS (Complaint Management System) app let one to enter/track their complaints for the inconvenience faced while availing various services of Indian Railways and also permits to offer suggestions for improvement if found any.
  • Clean my Coach App (COACH MITRA): One can request for cleaning their coach.
  • Link to Helpline Nos. 138,182: One can call the Helpline No. 138 for Complaints & Suggestions and Helpline No. 182 for Security.

Furthermore, this app allows a quota facility for differently- abled people in 3AC coach and extending the advance booking period for foreigners to 365 days from 120 days which is a good deal.
